K + M Okoboji Wedding

Keisha and Matthew have been friends of mine for years.

I was there the night she took me aside and told me that things were happening with Matthew. She was in love and stayed in love! A few years later, here we are!

Keisha has an eye for detail and an eye she has. The Little Mermaid has always been a special thing for her so there were sea shells, anchors, and mermaids everywhere! She even went into the water at one moment!

Enjoy these pictures as I enjoyed taking them. Congratulations, you two, and happily ever after!

Annie & Cody’s Hometown DIY Wedding

This. All of this.

This was a perfect expression of a wedding. Annie and Cody made everything from the alter pieces– to the wooden signs locating the wedding down the road–to the wildflower picked for the reception site. This, was truly something else.

My favorite part of the day was when Cody’s mother took my assistant, Mindy, and I off to the side, moments before the wedding. She said to us,

“Those two have a love that not a lot of people have the opportunity of sharing. Cody and Annie have such a strong love for one another and it was like that ever since the very beginning. This couple is like no other.”

Those were the second tears I had produced that morning.

The moments were perfect, the ceremony was gorgeous, and the couple really was genuinely and passionately in love. Annie and Cody, thank you for allowing Mindy and I to capture your wedding and thank you for sharing your personable and outgoing family and friends with us!

By far one of my favorite weddings.

Matt & Stephanie Wedding

What a weekend.

Matt & Stephanie, you two hit it right out of the park.

I’m telling you, this wedding was something to write home about. The two of them were so happy the entire time that I almost forgot I was there photographing their wedding.

I felt like we were all hanging out as long time friends snapping photos of a fun day out. The entire day was calm, hilarious, warm, and blissful because everyone was genuinely glad to be there.

Wilderness Ridge couldn’t have been a better venue. They had this part of the course called, ‘Wedding Island’ that literally was an island off the side of the golf course specifically created for wedding ceremonies.

Get out.

The greenery throughout the land was purely picturesque. Flowers were blooming everywhere and the light breeze made it easy for everyone to stop and smell the hydrangea.

As you look through these photos, notice Stephanie’s smile. It’s truly contagious. I was smiling, laughing and crying the entire day because of her, Matt and their amazing friends & family.

I wish I could redo the whole weekend and live it one more time because it was too much fun. Congratulations, you two!

{P+A} Meet at the Track!

These two. I have had the pleasure of making photo magic with Paul and Amber many times and each time out does the other! We met each other at their engagement session, and then became so much closer on their wedding day. I’ve had so much fun getting to know this happy and energetic couple.

When I got the message about this particular session, I was elated. What a cool way to continue loving a wedding dress and keep the love going!!

{{Also, it’a amazing to have set time in a wedding dress without restrictions of a wedding ceremony overlapping a photo session!!}}

It was quite the chilly morning and I’ve got to say Amber is quite the trooper to have worn that dress and smiled like it was her job. I’ve got the best clients.

These two are naturals on camera and make the sessions so much fun by the amount of love and care they have for one another. Well, this time the love was split for Paul! Haha. He brought his other baby to the track for some closeups! Thanks again you two!!

Fall Brother & Sister Session

A few weeks back, I had the opportunity of taking some absolutely adorable one year old pictures with this sweet sweet little girl! Her brother did such a great job making her look at the camera with her big blue eyes! When they got together it was just giggles and silly boy jokes. Fall is leaving quickly, so I’m so happy we got to capture the colors before it disappeared!

Happy last days of fall!
